Job Description
The Journeyman Maintenance Technician will be responsible for upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of all mechanical, electrical, and automated systems within the plant. This role is critical to ensuring production equipment and machinery are operating at peak efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Work schedule is Monday - Friday 3 pm - 11 pm.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experienced with Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, drives, and control systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.), work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
  • MUST HAVE ACTIVE JOURNEYMAN CARD.

What You'll Do
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure minimal downtime and maintain safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to support equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Assist in calibrating and testing robotic and automation systems (Fanuc).
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including service logs, parts inventory, and work orders.
