PASTRY COOK

Our Pastry Team is a fun small group of motivated and PASSIONATE pastry professionals. They're responsible for setting up the pastry station with proper tools and products, and preparing unique and beautiful desserts and pastries for service. We seek individuals who thrive on quality, consistency and execution as well as maintaining a clean and efficient workspace to maintain Prime+Proper’s Culinary Standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of breads, pastries, desserts, and other food items in ovens, and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to restaurants standardized recipes.  Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives.  Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels.

  • Motivated to assist the Pastry Chef with good organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and execute a detailed dessert program.
  • Must be familiar with basic pastry techniques and willing to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule.
  • Follow kitchen standards, policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Assist in training responsibilities for new team members.
  • Work to improve efficiency and minimize waste
  • Get along well with others and be a team player.
