About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Viral Hepatitis. This pivotal role is focused on the clinical development of novel drugs for HBV and HDV infections, with a strong emphasis on designing, conducting, and evaluating Phase 1, 2, and 3 clinical trials. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert leadership in clinical HBV and HDV medicine, overseeing a portfolio of clinical trial programs, and ensuring the strategic direction and execution of the clinical development strategy. Key responsibilities include leading the clinical development team, interacting with and presenting to executives, and fostering a multidisciplinary team environment. The role also involves close collaboration with the research team, representing the clinical programs in cross-functional committees, and leading the communication with health authorities.Applicants for the Executive Director position must have an MD or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years' of clinical, scientific, and/or drug development experience, preferably in the biopharma industry. A background in viral hepatitis or related fields such as chronic liver diseases, inflammation, fibrosis, or immunology is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading high-complexity drug development strategies, extensive experience in clinical trial design, and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Leadership skills, the ability to mentor others, and a commitment to the core values of integrity, inclusion, teamwork, accountability, and excellence are essential.
