Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Estimator to join our team in Chicago, focusing on commercial projects with budgets exceeding $30 million. The Project Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects with budgets over $30 million, including quantity take-offs and pricing for all project components.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to create accurate and competitive estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project scope and requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budget constraints.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure quality standards.
• Review and validate bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs and enhance project value.
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit pricing, and historical data for future reference.
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and estimates to clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and reports to project managers and stakeholders.
