Job Title: Legal Invoice Review - Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview:

The Legal Invoice Review Quality Assurance Analyst ("QA Analyst") for the Fulfillment Center of Excellence will oversee the quality assurance testing for the Legal Bill Analysis Center of Excellence (LBACOE). This role ensures the prompt, accurate, and efficient auditing of electronically submitted legal fee and expense invoices from law firms and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct expert peer reviews of LBACOE invoice analysts' work, utilizing specialized legal expertise to assess the legal context and terminology in invoices.
• Adjust invoice line items as necessary and document comprehensive justifications for changes.
• Make corrections to both adjusted and non-adjusted invoice line items.
• Engage in written communications with law firm vendors regarding adjustments, facilitating expert-to-expert discussions to resolve disputed invoice entries in alignment with client directives.
• Support the appeals mediation process by extracting key legal concepts, analyzing invoices according to client billing guidelines, and drafting written summaries for client review or resolution conferences.
• Provide guidance to business unit partners on issues or opportunities within the LBA process to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited school (US)
• Strong legal expertise and knowledge, with the ability to assess complex legal terminology in invoices.
• Excellent written communication skills for professional discourse with law firm vendors.
• Experience in providing peer reviews and offering expert guidance on legal billing processes.
• Ability to support dispute resolution efforts and provide actionable insights for process improvement.
