Join our team as an HR and Payroll Specialist, where you’ll oversee payroll and benefits processes while supporting HR functions to ensure a seamless experience for our employees. Position Overview

The HR and Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing payroll, administering employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. You’ll also play a key role in supporting HR processes such as onboarding, maintaining employee records, assisting with leave of absence administration, and contributing to early-stage candidate evaluations, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and COBRA
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now.
  • Facilitate open enrollment, benefit changes, and terminations, ensuring accurate payroll deductions and record-keeping.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and HR records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
  • Respond promptly to employee payroll and benefits inquiries while providing clear, supportive communication.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including benefits education and proper setup in payroll systems.
  • Reconcile payroll to general ledger accounts and benefit invoices.
  • Support HR processes such as leave of absence requests, employee file audits, and benefit reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll-related documents such as W-2s.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting, data reconciliation, and process optimization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll and HR administration experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
