Principal Engineer – Aerospace Communications Systems

We are seeking a Principal Engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace industry, specifically in the development and operation of complex communication satellite systems. This role involves managing multiple projects, overseeing Agile software development and testing processes, and ensuring successful delivery of products and services to meet program and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define program scope, plans, and execution strategies.
• Manage Agile software development and test processes to ensure project goals are met.
• Develop program documentation, including schedules, presentations, and reviews.
• Provide regular project updates and manage issues with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee test automation tool development and ensure company-wide platform standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of aerospace industry experience with complex communication satellite systems.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management principles.
• Proficiency in standard office and engineering tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and resolve technical challenges.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Agile certification and a strong understanding of project management.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with government contract requirements.
• Willing to travel up to 15 days annually and provide on-call support for operational issues.
