Job Description
Essential Functions of Role:
Following the organizational mission, OSHA compliance and USDA regulations, this leadership role has the responsibility in managing team members associated with inventory control, assisting in the development of systems, processes, and SOP's, training warehouse associates/management to the process, and holding those teams and individuals accountable for adhering to the process.
Accountable for:
Providing support to the inventory and warehouse teams through timely and cost-effective planning and development of associates. Position is also accountable for technology and process development providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Working closely with internal partners to develop timely solutions to inventory and process related issues.
  • Provide leadership to the Inventory Leads and direct the cycle count process.
  • Research and address inventory issues as they arise and develop training and checks to limit or eliminate further issues of a similar manner.
  • Assist in continuously improving the Warehouse Management System processes and environment to accelerate the acquisition of knowledge amongst the logistics team.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of systems associated with the WMS system for the materials group.
  • Assist in the development of key performance indicators and the processes required for data collection.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of inventory stored at MTP's third party logistics partners.
  • Coaching on process non-compliance while maintaining positive relationships with those team members.
  • Escalating issues as necessary with leadership, take part in progressive steps as necessary to achieve compliance to systems.
  • Other duties as required.
Education/Background Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, logistics, or similar discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Three + years of experience in systems and process development.
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis tools, namely Excel and Word, as well as internal data systems.
  • Understanding of GMP and HAACP.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and customer service skills/experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and development experience.
  • Must be reliable, dependable, and responsible.
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing with the English language
  • Ability to work with all levels of management to build a team environment
  • Strong comprehensive and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment which requires composure while executing multiple tasks at a high level of accuracy

  • Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the role as outlined.
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods in refrigerated and frozen environments
  • Must be able to twist, bend, reach, stand and lift up to 50 lbs. for 8 hours or the duration of the shift, in a wet cold environment.
  • Must pass a written and driving Industrial Lift Truck test
  • Must be able to safely operate an Industrial Lift Truck
