Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of biologics drug product & finished goods, both for Roche's commercial portfolio as well as launch products. Your OpportunityIn this exciting role, you will be a member of a collaborative team that creates outcomes that matter for patients, customers and the company. This microbiology position will join the exciting and fast-paced Quality Control Operations team in Hillsboro Technical Operations. Note: This an onsite M-F positionYou will maintain a state of inspection readiness.You will perform testing/review of microbiological assays.You will follow company policies and proceduresYou will independently manage competing priorities with limited instruction.You will complete and coordinate planned event and unplanned event records..You will apply basic theory and technical principles to address problems.You will implement improvement opportunities that support Quality Control.You will coach colleagues and help them develop expertise/skills in related functions.You will participate in cross functional squads representing Quality Control, as assigned.You will perform microbiological trending.You will present relevant topics to internal and external regulatory inspectors.You will perform other duties as requested by managers to support QC activities.Who you areYou hold a BS/BA Degree in Microbiology with at least 5 years of work experience in similar roles.You have A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a GMP environmentYou have sound knowledge of cGMPs or equivalent Regulations.You have strong verbal and written communication skills.You have the ability to interpret and apply quality standards to operational activities.Work Environment / Physical Demands / Safety ConsiderationsProlonged periods of standing at lab bench top. Frequent lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, reaching, twisting, climbing stairs. Use of step ladders and push carts required.Position may involve use of reagents and other chemical compounds, including but not limited to acetonitrile, chlorine, acids and bases, biologic toxins, microorganisms and potent compounds.Pass visual screening, as requiredThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Hillsboro, OR is $70,000- $130,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
