POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESThe ECMO Specialist participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCECompletion of University Health or another ELSO-based ECMO training program is preferred. Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience preferred. Degree preferred. Must have a minimum of two (2) years critical care experience (PICU, NICU, CICU, EC). Must obtain BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ECMO certification within six (6) months of hire.LICENSURECurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is mandatory.
