Reports to: Social Media Director
Summary/Objective : The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for social media everyday initiatives relating to the Schulson Collective social channels.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a creative eye, and excellent writing skills. They will also be detail-oriented, results-driven, organized, and a dependable team player. The Social Media Coordinator will also have a strong background in analytics and reporting and be well versed in the latest trends in key social media platforms.
Essential Functions

- Works with the creative team to create custom content for social media channels for day-to-day and larger brand initiatives while ensuring captions stay true to brand voice.
- Manages the content calendar across all social media channels and executes postings.
- Coordinates on-site photo shoots with restaurant managers, as well as creates, edits, and retouches engaging images and video.
- Develops an optimal posting schedule; considering web traffic & customer engagement metrics.
- Owns community management by responding to comments & actively engaging with customers.
- Utilizes the platforms reporting and analytics tools to strategize and achieve maximum effectiveness of campaigns.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with both external social media vendors and internal departments.
- Researches best practices and industry trends, and proactively recommends best strategies.
- Menu Design and Updates - including consistent printing of updated menus. This requires working closely and directly with the General Manager and Executive Chef.
- Required to be on-site Monday through Friday
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility
Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally push and/or pull up to 50 pounds. The employee may spend over 4 hours daily standing or walking.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or Communication
- Minimum of 1-2 years coordinator experience
- Self-motivated and energetic individual with a high level of initiative and thrives working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and writing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong time and project management skills
- Flexible availability
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Must have experience with Instagram, Facebook, and other social media management platforms
- Basic Adobe Photoshop and paid social media experience would be a plus
