Human Resources Manager

Elizabethtown, KY


Our client, a global leader in automotive glass solutions, is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong HR background with a proven ability to lead change, influence others, and drive initiatives that align with company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all aspects of the Human Resources function.
  • Assists leadership in recruiting, leadership development, culture change, organizational development and succession planning.
  • Works as a Business Partner with Plant Managers and plant management team, challenging them & coaching for success of plant & leadership team.
  • Be an advocate of company culture and a voice to recommend changes to items that are not aligned with company culture.
  • Builds synergies & consistency of HR processes, policies and procedures.
  • Builds sustainable HR policies & procedures engagement, turnover & absentee management.
  • Analyzes and closely monitors local market to propose changes to compensation structures or other HR related to drive competitiveness.
  • Networks & builds external relationships to benchmark.
  • Assures compliance with federal, state and local employment related laws
  • Leads the Shop Floor training group in Elizabethtown and applies best practices & innovative training techniques.
  • With Business Partners, aligns on talent needs and plans succession accordingly


Requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in HR in a manufacturing organization
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations
  • Facilitation and presentation skills, strong written and oral skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills (MS Excel & PowerPoint especially) including use of HRIS data base, timekeeping system
  • Ability to work successfully in a cross functional team environment
  • Strong influence skills
