Food ingredients/ commodities/ categories a must!CPA Training Required.Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting and financial tasks for our international food ingredients client.Manage two employees in the US and two employees overseas.Overall responsibility for reporting to Head Office including:Preparation of the month end submission.Tax reporting.Additional reporting at year end for the group financial statements.Resolution of regular ad hoc issues faced by a multi-national organization:Liaising with accountants in other regions.Liaising with other areas of the company including front office, operations, and trade finance to resolve problems.Ensure compliance with all local reporting and fiscal requirements:Lead during the annual audit and financial statements preparation process.Liaise with external tax team to ensure all local, state and federal tax requirements are met.Involvement in the accounts payable process.Understand the key business drivers within the region alongside identifying any associated risks.Involvement in setting up new legal entities in the region.Contribution to maintenance of full trial balance of a dynamic trading entity.System and control oversight and improvement.To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organizational goals.To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.To comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your manager.Changes in the business may occasionally require alterations in this job description and these will be agreed with the post holder as appropriate.Your role is related to the management of activities that ensure product safety, authenticity, legality and quality. Please review the BRCGS objectives, policy and related requirements located on the Intranet.About youWe are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:CPA trained with 5-10 years PQE.Business level fluency in English and Spanish.Ability to form relationships within finance team, net revenue team and wider office to ensure positive collaborative working environment.Experience of managing junior members of staff.Experience of IFRS and US GAAP.Ability to assess and develop our processes and to automate and systemize as much as possible.Advanced communication skills.Strong I.T. skills including proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and Word.Excellent organization and time management skills.Keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.Self-starter with the ability to use initiative for problem solving.Resourceful, innovative and proactive.Personable with the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels both internally and externally.SUN Systems accounting software and Infor Q&A / Vision.Previous exposure to multi-currency entities.Seniority level
