The attorney will handle a caseload with assistance and oversight as needed to conduct discovery, represent the client in arbitrations, attend and argue hearings, and conduct jury trials on behalf of their client.Key Responsibilities Excellent opportunity for a newly barred attorney or one seeking to change practice areas.Enjoy the benefit of a collaborative team of attorneys, staff, and lead counsel to mentor and assist.Handle a caseload of litigation files where you are the lead attorney.Meet with your client and claim representative to develop a litigation plan on new assignments.Review evidence, draft pleadings, and handle all aspects of discovery.Where appropriate, conduct alternative dispute resolution (mediations, arbitrations, or settlement negotiations).Prepare and attend court and arbitration appearances.Prepare for and take depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Prepare summaries of depositions.Prepare witnesses and client for depositions, appearances, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.Update claim business partners current on status of files and work with them closely through written reporting, frequent teleconferences, and updates.Conduct all pre-trial work on your cases and attend hearings.Second-chair jury trials with experienced attorneys to gain experience and confidence.Try to a jury your own case with the assistance, if needed, of any experienced mentor.No requirement for billable hours.EducationJuris Doctorate degree required.0 +Must be a licensed member of the State Bar of Nevada, in good standing.Must live in the state of Nevada to make court appearances as needed.SkillsClient Documentation, Conflict Resolution, Court Appearances, Depositions, Drafting Pleadings, Evidence Gathering, Jury Trials, Legal Document Preparation, Litigation, TortsCompensationCompensation offered for this role is $66,800.00 - 120,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn’t just a job — it’s an opportunity.
