The Charge RN in the Med/Surg and Neuro units is responsible for coordinating quality nursing care for patients throughout their lifecycle, addressing operational issues, and providing clinical care as necessary. This role requires effective communication with leadership regarding patient care and departmental concerns while serving as a resource for staff guidance. Candidates must be licensed Registered Nurses with at least one year of hospital nursing experience and preferably have additional qualifications.
Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of a nursing program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:One (1) year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
Demonstrated clinical competency.
