Job Description: A Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides medical evaluation and treatment of John Muir Medical Center patients in collaboration with and under the direction of the Supervising Physician. The NP performs duties according to standardized procedures which have been developed collaboratively by John Muir Medical Center administration, medical staff, nursing, Supervising Physician, and Nurse Practitioners and approved by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board. The NP is a registered nurse who possesses additional preparation and skills in physical diagnosis, psycho-social assessment, and management of health-illness needs. The NP assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients, provides information to patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and counseling. The NP provides healthcare in a collegial relationship with physicians to patients at John Muir Medical Center.

Makes daily hospital rounds on identified Surgery Patients in medical-surgical nursing units.
Performs procedures and assists with surgeries that are within the scope of practice.

Pay Range:
$83.53 - $125.29 Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area .
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
