Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Process Control Engineer II, who will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing process control hardware and software solutions in a heavy industrial environment
Requirements:
3+ years of work experience in Process Control, Electrical, or similar environments providing hardware and software support with strong electrical and programming knowledge
Knowledgeable in industrial plant process control systems preferably with some of the following types of control solutions: OpenVMS, Fortran
System Administration knowledge of VMS systems and hardware
Ability to provide leadership to junior control engineers in support of complex control systems
Ability to provide good oral and written communication interfaces with various business organizations
Experience in a Basic Oxygen Process or Caster facility is a plus
Capable of analyzing short- and long-term hardware, software, equipment, and instrumentation requirements and providing appropriate and cost-effective technical solutions is a plus
Ability to create detailed design documents and/or schematics is a plus
Ability to support and interact with internal customers and business partners in understanding, prioritizing, and implementing work requests in multiple mining processes
Responsibilities:
Supporting production hardware and software applications, SCADA systems, Graphical HMI applications, and LAN communications
Optimizing and improving industrial plant process control solutions to meet business requirements
Translating business requirements into industrial application solution
Collaborating with personnel throughout the organization both as an individual and in a team environment
Analyzing short and long-term hardware, software, equipment, and instrumentation requirements and providing appropriate and cost-effective technical solutions
Providing oral and written communication interfaces with departmental management, operations management, operating crews, control system support personnel, system support personnel, and others
Providing process control support for a 24x7 industrial environment
