About the RoleComplete Building Services supports over 100 different commercial properties in the Washington DC metro area. We are hiring a Lead Engineer in Bethesda, MD. Hours Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with flexibility to support projects after hours as required. Salary $40/hr depending on knowledge and experience. Your day to day will vary and your duties could include:Providing Quality Control services for the work of subordinates and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency, economy, and quality of work performedAssist with competitive process, develop statement of work construction documents, obtain bids/proposals/cost estimates for TWO's (Tenant Work Order's) and construction projectsOversight of diagnostic and repairs on building systemsOversight of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety system repairsPreparing work schedulesMaintaining records and prepare required reportsCoordinating and schedule maintenance and repair work on a daily basisManage on-site subcontractors supporting the projectsPreparing and issuing solicitations for the subcontractors as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirementsYou Should HaveThe Chief Engineer shall possess the following minimum qualifications:10+ years of building engineering experience preferredStrong leadership skills a mustExperience managing subcontractorsCFC UniversalExceptional HVAC knowledge/skillsDemonstrate expert working knowledge of engineering and building systemsQuality Control/Inspect completed workAbility to plan, organize and meet deadlinesAbility to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as requiredProficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and project tracking softwareAbility to read, review and understand blueprintsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage subordinates and multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentEOE/M/F/Vet/DisabledWhy You'll Love Working With UsComplete Building Services (CBS) is a company that is passionate about the operation and maintenance of buildings/facilities in the commercial and government sectors.
