Service Processor, Portability & Conversion at Lincoln Financial Group in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Alternate Locations: Dover, NH (New Hampshire); Charlotte, NC (North Carolina); Omaha, NE (Nebraska); Work from Home Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Flexible : Work at home and use the office as appropriate for in-person collaboration. Requisition #: 74097 The Role at a Glance We are excited to bring on a Service Processor, Portability & Conversion to join our member support team supporting Group Protection in our Atlanta, GA; Omaha, NE offices. Background Details The Service Processor Team will provide you with several weeks of paid training, coaching and development to perform in this fast-paced environment. As the Service Processor, Portability and Conversion, you will perform and deliver on routine assignments for your assigned area independently in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. You will accurately administer customer requests and systems/applications received from receipt to final status ensuring fair, ethical, and timely processing while adhering to policy provisions and state guidelines. If this sounds like a role for you, please read on What you'll be doing + Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility. + Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards. + Works overtime as needed. + Delivers routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately. + Makes routine and non-routine decisions under close supervision, applying limited discretion within role except for matters of significance which affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. + Performs task by applying core knowledge obtained from the role and acquires increasingly more knowledge to apply in the role. + Processes received requests & applications + Verifies completeness of forms and compliance with state guidelines. + Research group policy provisions to determine employee eligibility for option requested + Communicates with customers & internal resources to gather information for determining eligibility + Sends letters with appropriate forms per state requirements including providing deadline for response back to Lincoln as needed. + Sends letters regarding quote illustrations, missing information, and correct premium amounts; provides deadline for response back to Lincoln + Sends Declination letters with associated reason and refund of premium as needed + Sends Withdrawal letters if required information and/or premium is not received within the timeframe requested + Applies premium to correct coverage/plan in appropriate systems or process accounting to move premium to appropriate internal department within Lincoln. + Conducts conference calls with groups, brokers and/or employees to discuss questions or work through issues & errors + Applies core knowledge to effectively communicate sensitive or technical information while adhering to HIPPA and corporate privacy guidelines + Escalates issues/concerns to more senior team members and/or management. + Provides customer service to internal/external stakeholders, recognizes what needs to be done, and demonstrates flexibility & responsiveness to meet customer needs + Recognizes general issues/concerns for assigned area(s) of responsibility and suggests process improvements. What we're looking for Must-have experience (Required): + High School Diploma or GED + 0 - 1+ Years of general Client Customer Support and Operations, call center or client service experience Nice-to have Experience (Preferred): + Data entry and research experience in a fast-paced environment + Ability to maneuver through multiple systems as needed + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
