Job Description Summary
The College of Nursing at Auburn University, located in Auburn, Alabama, invites applications for a full-time on-campus 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position. Candidates with experience in adult medical surgical and/or critical care are sought to teach our highly qualified student body.

The College of Nursing admits traditional BSN students each spring and RN to BSN students each semester. We offer a Master's in Nursing with Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator options. Doctoral programs include the Doctor of Nursing Practice and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and post-graduate APRN certificate program at Auburn University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in nursing at the time employment begins with specialty preparation in adult medical-surgical and/or critical care. Demonstrated current clinical and healthcare simulation experience required. Candidates must be eligible for or maintain a current clinical or Nurse Educator certification at the time employment begins.
Desired Qualifications
Doctoral degree, teaching experience in a baccalaureate and/or nurse practitioner nursing program, certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS).
Special Instructions to Applicants
Candidates must be eligible for Alabama RN license, must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
