Unit Information: • Number of Beds: 21 • Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 • Equipment: IV therapy, VS machines, NG tubes, continuous pulse oximetry, telemetry monitoring, mobility equipment i.e. walkers, overhead lifts, wound/surgical site vac therapy. • EMR: Epic Hiring Profile: • Must Have Skills/Experience: BLS, EKG training- able to recognize cardiac rhythms, Med/Surg experience. • Preferred Skillset/Experience: Provide total comprehensive nursing to patients and their families while collaborating with members of the multidisciplinary team. Perform psychosocial/physiologic assessments, implement plan of care and treatments, and reassess and evaluate that plan as needed. Start and maintain IV therapies, perform dressing changes per orders, administer medications and other interventions within the scope of medical/surgical units. Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks, be adaptable to a high volume/patient turnover environment and have time management skills. • Type of Patients on Unit: total joint replacements, general surgery i.e. appendectomies, open cholecystectomies, colon resections, cystoscopies with stents. Bariatric sleeve surgeries. Continuous Bladder Irrigation, chest tubes, small bowel obstructions, COPD, CHF exacerbations. Cellulitis and chronic wound patients. CAPD and HD patients. • Personality Fit: team-oriented, friendly, compassionate, hard working.
