Director of Operations
to be based in
LA county
looking after their properties in
Westlake
and
Malibu.
The role requires in depth knowledge of high-level
renovation/construction
as well as
day to day operations , setting and maintaining
exceptional service standards , and
attention to detail
in all aspects of property, staff management and
household care , ensuring
seamless daily management.
The Director of Operations will
work
closely
with the Estate Manager
to address
operational needs , oversee renovations, and provide
proactive and hands-on support

1 CFO, 1 Estate Manager and housekeepers.Key Responsibilities:Property OperationsOversee and streamline household operational systems and procedures to maintain consistency across properties.Maintain a clean, organized, and impeccably well-kept property that is always guest ready.Coordinate seasonal preparations (e.g., HVAC maintenance, and pool cleaning) and ensure all property systems are functioning optimally.Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and proactively address any issues.Coordinate schedules and logistics for property visits, vendor appointments, and Family transitions between properties.Serve as the Principal’s go-to for operational and property-related matters.Source and maintain excellent relationships with essential suppliers to support ongoing property needs.Act as a liaison between the Family and vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure clear and effective communication.Maintain detailed records for all ongoing projects, including renovations, vendor agreements, and household needs.Staff ManagementEnsure household staff adheres to the highest standards of service and professionalism conducting regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training.Address any staffing issues or conflicts promptly to ensure a harmonious and efficient team.Budget & ExpensesManage expenses, ensure alignment with established budgets, and handle administrative duties such as organizing and maintaining property-related documents.RequirementsFluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Valid U.S. driver’s license and work authorization.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction or real estate, with excellent references.Willingness to undergo background checks and sign a non-disclosure agreement.Based in or near the Valley for regular on-site presence.Seniority level
