X Ray Tech

Location: Brooklyn, NY.

13 week contract

Shift: Days (3x12's & 5x8's)

Pay Rate: $53-$64/hr

Requirement:
2 years of experience.

Certifications:
ARRT
BLS

*Summary*

As an X-ray Technologist, you will be essential in delivering high-quality medical imaging services to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Reporting to the Radiology Manager, you will utilize your core skills in X-ray, CT, and Mammography, while also applying your knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

*Roles and responsibilities:*
Explaining procedures to patients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
* Positioning patients correctly to capture accurate images of the targeted body areas.
* Providing patient care and ensuring their safety throughout the imaging process.
* Operating X-ray machines and other imaging equipment safely and effectively.
* Adjusting equipment settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
* Maintaining and troubleshooting imaging equipment.
* Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols to protect themselves, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
* Using protective devices, such as lead aprons and shields, to minimize radiation exposure.

*Skills*
Technical proficiency in operating radiographic equipment.
Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
