Director of R&D and Quality

Salary $130,000 – $165,000 + Benefits + Bonus + Paid Relocation to FLORIDA

This growing manufacturer is hiring a Director of R&D and Quality! You’ll oversee major R&D programs and ensure quality standards are met. You will lead technical projects, manage quality functions, and interface with customers to drive innovation and growth.

Ideally, we are looking to hire a chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical engineering PhD who has an in-depth knowledge of MDI, TDI chemistries, reactive hot melt chemistry, and raw material offsets.

As the Director of R&D and Quality, your responsibilities will be:

Oversee R&D programs and coordinate multiple projects.

Ensure conformance to the company quality management system.

·

Design and develop products within budget constraints.

·

Implement and maintain R&D procedures and initiate improvements.

·

Manage quality functions, including root cause analysis and supporting plant operations.

·

Interface with customers regarding formulations, scale-up, and development.

·

Manage staff for onboarding and scale-up processes.

·

Develop and review technical agendas and timelines for R&D projects.

·

Recommend resource allocation and communicates progress.

·

Oversee the R&D facility and maintain communication with the analytical lab staff.

·

Lead project teams through new product development and factory integration.

·

Conduct complex research experiments and analyze substances.

·

Collaborate with Purchasing for raw material procurement.

·

Approve Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for new chemical raw materials.

·

Lead strategic initiatives in R&D to drive revenue and growth.

·

Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and health policies & practices.
