Responsibilities/Job Description:
Fairview is hiring a X-ray Technologist to join our medical imaging department at our M Health Fairview facility location in Lakeville, MN, but will also float to other locations as needed.
The X-ray Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
Schedule: This is a 0.8FTE position (64 hour per 2 week pay period).
Typical work schedule will be:
Week 1: Friday, 230pm-8pm, Saturday & Sunday, 9am-5pm
Week 2: NO SET SCHEDULED HOURS
Week 3: Monday, 230pm-8pm, Sunday 9am-5pm
Week 4: Monday & Thursday 230pm-8pm

Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional

Verify patient identification and documentation
Connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Ensures patient data integrity
Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
Participates as an active team member
Orients and mentors new employees and students
Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
Provides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care
Contributes to a positive work environment
Performs other duties as assigned
Accurately operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working accurately
Maintains a high level of proficiency
Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
Demonstrating the ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Demonstrating Commitment to Customers, Fellow Employees and Fairview
Required
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
ARRT Certification/Registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire - from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred
1 year experience as a technologist
