Your Role and Responsibilities as a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist:
Provide home-based speech therapy to patients having communication, swallowing, or cognitive difficulties due to an illness or injury
Work with a team of physicians, nurses, CNAs, OTs and SLPs to provide excellent patient care
Conduct assessments, document progress and determine if therapy services should be modified
Educate patients and family on established goals, exercises and self-care to ensure progress
Qualifications for an Interim HealthCare® Speech Language Pathologist:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active SLP license in IL
Minimum 2 years of speech therapy experience, ideally in home healthcare
Current CPR certification
Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach
