well-established plaintiff's law firm in downtown Chicago is seeking a proactive and highly organized Executive Legal Assistant to support our Managing Partner. Our firm has extensive experience handling mesothelioma and asbestos litigation, providing both the legal expertise and compassionate advocacy our clients deserve.
This is a full-time, hybrid position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires four days in-office in downtown Chicago, with one remote workday per week .
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted assistant to the Managing Partner, handling calendar management, scheduling, travel arrangements, and administrative support .
- ct as a liaison between the firm, clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel to streamline case coordination .
- Manage incoming emails, phone calls, and correspondence , ensuring prompt and appropriate responses.
- ssist with trial preparation , including organizing exhibits, creating presentations, preparing trial binders, and coordinating logistics.
- Draft, prepare, and organize legal documents and forms required for litigation.
- Provide additional office management and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Take on other responsibilities and tasks as needed to enhance firm efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution with a strong academic record.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal operations role.
- In-depth knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills , with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities .
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills .
