We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering with hands-on coding experience to lead our growth initiatives in creating a world-class engineering team. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the start-up space (Series A-D) managing and enhancing a team of talented engineers, while driving the strategic direction of the company's technological development. This role is a key member of our leadership team, reporting directly to the CTO, and will have a significant impact on the company's trajectory. The Head of Engineering will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our tech services by leveraging AI/ML and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
2. Develop and implement the technical strategy of the company, aligning it with the company's business goals and objectives.
3. Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes, including product research, market analysis, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch.
4. Translate business objectives into technical strategies and direct the design and development of new software and tools.
5. Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets, making decisions based on ROI and risk management considerations.
6. Ensure the technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
7. Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments to ensure the company's technology products align with customer needs and market trends.
8. Develop and manage the engineering budget effectively while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and cost-effective technological solutions.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from top tier university in Computer Science.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior engineering management role in a tech services or related industry.
3. Proven experience in managing and delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
4. Experience with AI/ML, AI-driven, and AI-powered technologies.
5. Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
6. MUSTHAVE experience working in a start-up environment and scaling the team (series A, series B, series C, and/or series D funding rounds)
7. Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
8. Exceptional project management and organization skills.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
11. Proven ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
12. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
