**Summary**

The **Armed Security Officer** supports the USACE installation in Washington, D.C.

**Responsibilities**

+ Provide first response to emergencies.

+ Conduct mobile patrols, inspections and searches.

+ Conduct traffic enforcement and assist with investigations as needed.

+ Provide access control of USACE installation.

+ Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

+ Must be 21 years of age or older.

+ Active DC Certification to work as an armed security officer.

+ Possess a high school education or equivalency.

+ Have at least two years demonstrating the following: ability to meet and deal with the general public, ability to read, understand and apply various rules, regulations and training materials; the ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress; the ability to write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports.

+ Proficiency in the use and safe handling of a standard 9-mm handgun.

+ Demonstrated prior experience with armed experience.

+ Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.

+ Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.

**Estimated Salary/Wage**

Up to USD $28.00/Hr.
