Overview:
Adjunct faculty members will teach courses in Social, Behavioral, and Administrative Sciences at the Touro Pharmacy. Applicants with expertise in all areas of Social, Behavioral, and Administrative Sciences are welcome to apply. Curriculum Vitae are retained for 1 year.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a minimum of one professional level course.
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Be prompt and accurate in the recording and reporting of student data.
- Support students learning goals by:
- Focusing on student learning outcomes.
- Taking into account the needs and abilities of the students.
- Becoming familiar with academic and social support.
- Making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences.
- Maintaining the academic integrity of Touro Pharmacy.
- Being available to assist student in achieving their learning goals.
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience
- Doctor of Pharmacy.
- PharmD and State appropriate professional licensure
- Residency or Fellowship (Preferred)
- Minimum 1year experience post-graduate
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- A high degree of interpersonal competency: Professionalism, diplomacy, judgement, and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to be organized and a have attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
Maximum Salary:
USD $150.00/Hr.
Minimum Salary:
USD $100.00/Hr.
