QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma. Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in an education or special education setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and data base management.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and file maintenance
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records, assisting with communication, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations. Confidentiality is mandatory at all times.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
    • Maintain and organize student records, Individual Education Plans, and other confidential special education documents
    • Organized documentation to keep it up-to-date and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Effective communication and correspondence
    • Act as a liaison between Lennox School District staff and parents, facilitating clear and timely communication.
    • Prepare and distribute paperwork to stakeholders that is in compliance with state regulations.
  • Organized and detailed scheduling and calendar management
    • Manage meetings for special education staff.
  • Complete accurate data entry and reporting
    • Enter accurate data; Indicators, Child Count, and other data systems
    • Generate reports and maintain data bases for tracking special education
    • Complete assigned IEP processes; i.e. Consents, Meeting Notices.
  • Meet compliance and regulation requirements
    • Stay informed about special education laws and regulations.
    • Assist in preparing documentation for state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Resource Management
    • Order and manage special education supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Support Special Education Staff
    • Assist with classroom preparations and instructional material.
  • Demonstrate timeliness and good attendance.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Principal, Director of Student Services, and/or Superintendent.
