Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.
• Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Implement and monitor Lean Manufacturing and process improvement strategies to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards for workplace safety and environmental protection.
• Develop and manage budgets, production schedules, and resource allocation to meet company objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align plant performance with business goals.
• Maintain and improve preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
• Analyze production data and implement strategies for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and waste minimization.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to uphold product standards and resolve any quality issues.
• Manage supply chain logistics, including inventory control, material procurement, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in plant management, manufacturing operations, or production leadership.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, coatings/finishing operations, and industrial production techniques.
• Proven track record in leadership, team development, and process improvement.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace safety, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the coatings, paints, or finishing industry.
• Familiarity with automated production systems and ERP software.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related process improvement methodologies.
