Information Security Analyst

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Consulting Information Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of information security principles and best practices. As a Consulting Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security measures to protect our company's computer networks and systems. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in areas such as network security, risk assessment, systems analysis, and data protection. The successful candidate will also be required to stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and threat intelligence to ensure our security measures are continually robust.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and detailed security audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks in our systems and networks.
  • Develop and implement robust security protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Regularly review, update, and maintain our company's Incident Response and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Conduct regular security awareness training for all staff to ensure security best practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure data security is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Monitor our systems and networks for security breaches or intrusions.
  • When a breach occurs, lead the incident response activities and conduct a thorough post-incident analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of information security to ensure our security measures are always robust.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with network security, risk assessment, systems analysis, and data protection.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and risk management methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Must be able to pass a government inquiry.
