Job Description

Upscale French Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager to oversee our daily operations .   Our ideal candidate has at least five years of industry experience, including supervisory roles, and is reliable and trustworthy.  

 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff  
  • Create employee schedules to always ensure adequate staffing  
  • Handle paperwork and other administrative duties  
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing food and beverage education  
  • Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations  
  • Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees  
  • Oversee menu changes and update POS systems  
  • Oversee payroll and HR procedures for location   
  • Oversee front door and maintain relationships with guests  

 

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • 5+ years of experience in a restaurant with at least 2 years in supervisory roles  
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills  
  • Able to stand for extended periods  
  • Flexible schedule  
  • Hold a current Food Handler’s license or must obtain within a month of hire  

 

 

Languages: French and Italian (highly preferred)

Compensation Details: Salary ( $75,000-$80,000 )
