Job Description:
STC is potentially seeking a highly motivated Product Management Support Services engineer to work in coordination with the NOAA Office of Space Commerce (OSC) to provide Configuration Management support to the OSC operations team and Program Management on the upcoming Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS).
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing Configuration Management (CM) support to develop, implement, and administer the TraCSS CM Processes.
- Administer all CM functions including inputting, updating, tracking, managing, and maintaining the CM tools and processes.
- Supporting the TraCSS Program Management (PM) team in document control, engineering change control, and software change control.
- Effectively implement the CM processes and track completion of assigned tasks.
- Monitor program compliance with CM processes and communicate concerns and areas of improvement to the PM.
- Collaborate with TraCSS stakeholders such as developers, testers, and users to gather configuration information, solicit their feedback/input, and resolve any conflicts or problems.
Job Requirements:
5-10 years of experience/knowledge in Systems Engineering including Configuration Management (CM) processes and tools. Prefer experience with operational systems and customers. Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical staff and Program Management.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field.
