About This Critical Role – The Job
We are currently looking for an Associate Vice President – Business Development to join the SDG team in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; possesses the ability to navigate multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with strong organizational skills; and displays a professional demeanor to interact with senior partners, clients, and colleagues. The accountabilities of this role include:
- Lead Colorado Business Development and Relationship Management activities, including:
- Identify and pursue new leads with a targeted transition to the banking team.
- Prioritize top known relationships requiring specific strategy and attention.
- Develop and execute client-specific strategies.
- Produce, update, and present Business Development materials including new product lines.
- Manage a database of opportunities and partner with individual banking teams to process through the opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify new real estate projects occurring across the state.
- Attend industry networking events, conferences, and other industry-specific events.
- Prepare and maintain various marketing materials, including presentations, pitchbooks, research summaries, and market updates.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry consultants, developers, and other external partners.
- Consistently modeling SDG’s organizational values and contributing to team culture.

- You have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in land development or homebuilding.
- Proficient in the use of digital software and technology, including databases and MS Office suite.
- You are available to work full-time in-person in our downtown Denver offices.
- You are based in, or willing to relocate to Denver.
