Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager of Information Systems in Safford, AZ. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Manager of Information Systems to oversee and optimize our site's IT and communications infrastructure. This role will lead a team of IT professionals, drive operational excellence, and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily IT operations, overseeing MIS (Management Information Systems) customer service, infrastructure support, and project implementation.
- Develop and execute tactical and strategic objectives for IT operations, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Supervise and support MIS leaders, senior supervisors, and other team members.
- Monitor projects and operational performance to maintain high service quality.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of key personnel.
- Manage budget planning and cost control for IT operations, including staffing, materials, and capital improvements.
- Collaborate with site management, department heads, and other stakeholders to enhance IT service delivery.
- Evaluate and improve IT infrastructure, addressing technical and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with Freeport-McMoRan IT policies and industry regulations.
- Oversee third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of IT service delivery experience, or Associate's degree or IT certification with 9+ years of relevant IT experience, or High School diploma/GED with 11+ years of IT service delivery experience.
- Additional certifications or licensure may be required based on departmental needs.
- Must be able to work in a high-paced, potentially stressful environment.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment when working on-site (hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots, etc.).
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing and participate in ongoing random testing as required by law.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in large-scale IT infrastructure management.
- Background in industrial, mining, manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
