Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Minneapolis, MN that is seeking a Junior Application Security Engineer. The role will start with a 6-month contract, could go another year or potential convert within operating model or strategy. In this entry-level role, you will primarily focus on onboarding security tooling, maintaining documentation, and supporting developers in integrating security into the development process. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in the application security field while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboarding Security Tooling (Checkmarx, SysDig, WiZ, GitGuardian)
• Manage Security Exceptions with SDLC
• Writing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Documentation
• Support Developers and Engineers
• Continuous Improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 1 to 2 years of experience in IT, development, DevOps, or a related technical role (internship or academic experience will also be considered)
• Experience writing documentation
• Someone onsite is preferred, if they go into a longer-term position for collaboration; if we can't find someone local, then will look remote
