Position Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Transportation/Civil Department leads the development of civil engineering design for significant infrastructure projects in North America. Our multi-disciplinary team works collaboratively to improve schedules, control costs, and minimize risks. We design innovative, constructible solutions with a focus on safety, benefiting clients through proven processes and tools.

Location

This role will be based out of Kiewit’s Lone Tree, CO location.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead highway and civil design tasks, acting in responsible charge as needed.
  2. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior staff.
  3. Oversee creation of surface models utilizing InRoads, Civil3D, and/or other similar design software.
  4. Lead interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure project element compatibility.
  5. Create preliminary design concepts and alternatives for highways and civil features to support cost estimating.
  6. Lead project technical meetings, providing coordination to resolve design issues.
  7. Execute final design of project elements such as roadway geometrics, roadway design plans, signing and marking plans, maintenance of traffic plans, wall plan and profile sheets.

Qualifications

  1. 4+ years of civil/highway design experience with an emphasis on design-build projects.
  2. Registered as a Professional Engineer.
  3. Experience designing civil/highway/rail or other transportation infrastructure or similar projects.
  4. Familiarity with design-build delivery is preferred.
  5. Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD platforms.
  6. Experience developing construction plans for transportation projects is preferred.
  7. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Base Compensation

$110,000/yr - $120,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
