Organization: National Business Aviation Association (NBAA)

Position: Director, Human Resources

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Washington, DC/Flexible Hybrid

Come join the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) , an organization that facilitates some of the largest domestic and international conferences in the aviation industry. They are seeking a Director of Human Resources to oversee all strategic and operational HR functions for the organization.

As the Director of Human Resources, you will balance high-level planning with hands-on HR tasks and administer day-to-day operations including benefit administration, compensation, performance management, compliance, recruiting, and employee relations. You will collaboratively support and provide advice to senior management and be responsible for HR-related communications to employees, including creating and facilitating NBAA’s weekly All Team Meetings. This position serves as a board-committee liaison to the Compensation, Investment, and Succession Committee. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and manages the Director of Administration.

Qualified candidates offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or related field
  • 7 years of HR generalist experience
  • 3 years of HR sole-practitioner experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in human resources functions, including best practices for organizational effectiveness, compensation and benefit programs, leadership development, recruitment and retention initiatives, and performance management solutions
  • Knowledge of performance management and recruiting software
  • PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification preferred
