Peraton is seeking a Front End Java Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Location: Hybrid – On-site in Columbia, MD, 4 times per month
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and configure software systems to meet client and market requirements.
- Utilize expertise in technologies, methodologies, processes, and tools to support a large-scale federal IT system.
- Modernize legacy applications to deliver state-of-the-art user interface experiences.
- Write code in Java, with a focus on Spring Boot framework and Spring-based applications.
- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React.js.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 4 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 6 years experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- Hands-on experience in React Front End development.
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
- Experience developing enterprise applications using Spring/Java MVC and integrating them with a React Frontend.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and JSP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on a large-scale Federal IT program.
- Familiarity with the SAFe Agile delivery framework.
- Proficiency with Java development tools such as Git.
- Experience with Relational Databases/SQL.
Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
