Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Configuration Manager is expected to be able to:

  • Establish and maintain configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by department personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost-effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Know and understand software configuration management concepts, goals, benefits, and standard strategies to achieve those goals.
  • Ensure the integrity, reliability, and reproducibility of developing products from conception to release.
  • Build a liaison with quality teams on improving test coverage of automated tests and staging releases as they are tested by the Quality Assurance function.
  • Monitor Service Level Agreements to make certain they are being met.
  • Coordinate with developers and engineers on matters related to code check-ins, change tracking, build failures, and communicating results of analysis.
  • Automate unit and integration tests executed just before builds are handed over to Quality Assurance.
  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  • Work with standard commercial software products used for configuration management (e.g., ClearCase, Subversion, JSMART, Razor, TeamWare, etc.)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with a CI Poly
  • Microsoft Certified - Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • BS, 10-12 years experience; MS 8-10 years experience; PhD, 5-7 years experience

Overview

We are seeking a Configuration Manager to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Configuration Manager establishes and maintains configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by department personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost-effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $161,000.00-179,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.
