The Position:

We're looking for a passionate Activities Manager who will plan, coordinate, and provide activity programs and services to our Kupuna.

• Assess residents upon admission and at least once each year for group and individual activity participation based upon the resident’s needs, interests, routines, and preferences, as well as the resident’s physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual abilities to promote the highest practicable level of independence, life satisfaction, and self-esteem.
• Participate in the completion of the MDS and, when appropriate, the RAP Summary.
• Participate in the development of the interdisciplinary care plan. Contribute to and/or direct/delegate the contribution to the comprehensive care plan (problems, goals and/or approaches) which are individualized to match the medically related needs as well as the activity related needs, interests, abilities, routines, and preferences of each resident.

Requirements:

• A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or activities professional or is a qualified Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or has two years experience in social or recreational program in last five years, one of which was full-time in a resident activities program or has completed an Activity Director training course approved by the state.
• One (1) year experience in long-term care or working with the elderly preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
