Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls from internal and external customers. Operates and maintains Hospital paging systems. Provides directory information to inquirers and transfers calls as appropriate to ensure prompt and efficient communication. Ensures information is maintained and updated on a regular basis.
Required Skills
- Highly effective oral communication skills, ability to speak English clearly.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn operation of PBX Communication System.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Knowledge or experience with Desktop Software such as Word, Excel.
- Some knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
Required Experience
Two years PBX or comparable (call center and/or high volume telephone management) experience required.
Certifications
None.

High School graduate or equivalent.
