We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager for Systems/Application Design in the energy market, focusing on battery storage, energy generation systems, and balance of plant (BOP) subsystems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate product development & application experience, technical expertise, strong customer relations skills, and proficiency in program and project management. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and execute engineering service solutions that meet industry standards and certification requirements for utility-scale, commercial/industrial, and residential applications.
Detailed Description
- Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects, involving multiple domains.
- Oversee the design, integration, and deployment of energy charging systems for various applications across multiple projects.
- Foster strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions.
- Lead the deployment of strategic technologies/programs and coordinate global deployment efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, business development, and sales teams to develop innovative solutions that align with market demands.
- Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations, and ensure compliance with industry standards, certification requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive operational improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Prepare and present project reports, updates, and technical documentation to stakeholders.
- Set yearly plans and goals for the department, give direction on expected performance, provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback.
Typical Experience
• Minimum 11-14 years of relevant experience in the energy market, with specific expertise in battery storage, energy generation systems, and BOP subsystems.
Typical Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field); Master's degree preferred.
Salary Range
Salary Range: $120k-$165k Annually
Physical Demands
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
