Echo Tech Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Echo Techs must be able to perform high-quality echocardiograms, including 2D and Doppler ultrasound procedures, on patients of all ages.
- Obtain accurate and clear images for interpretation by cardiologists.
- Echo techs should be able to explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results.
- Maintain equipment, perform regular calibration, and report any technical issues.
- Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Echo Techs accurately document and input patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies, maintaining licensures and training.
Job Requirements:
- At least one year of hospital acute care experience.
- Pediatric and neonatal experience preferred, not required.
- Experience with TEEs and bubble studies preferred, not required.
- Experience with Definity preferred, not required.
- ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI required.
- Current CPR Card issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- Current Annual Health Clearance.
- Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations, or titers.
- Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months.
- Flexible schedule due to nature of the shift.
