Our Client is seeking a Java Software Engineer for an extendable 1-year Contract position in Cincinnati, OH. This position is onsite and pays $35/hr. W2.
Summary:
This team’s services operate as foundational services that enable other teams to build enterprise domains and are key to supporting the bank's transitional architecture approach to modernizing digital and core banking systems. Examples of the services you will build are gateways, proxies, webhooks, and services to encrypt/tokenize protected information.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and testing cloud native services hosted in both AWS and on-prem in OpenShift.
- Conducting code reviews, knowledge transfer sessions across the team driving operational excellency through logging and monitoring.
Required Skills:
- Must have a strong understanding of AWS services, microservice based design principles and the ability to troubleshoot via log aggregators, and other performance monitoring tools.
- This is a financial domain – must have a payment background and strong backend experience.
- Java 11 or above.
- Spring framework.
- Spring Boot.
- Docker.
- Gradle.
- Containers.
- Relational databases and SQL.
- Version control solutions, preferably Git/GitHub.
- Object oriented design and development.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Kafka.
- Terraform.
- Monitoring software – Dynatrace/Splunk.
Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a contractor you may also be eligible for health benefits such as health, dental, and vision as well as access to a 401K plan.
