The role includes integrating GIS solutions within .NET based applications, GDOT databases (Oracle/Oracle Exadata, SQL Server), data warehouse (Oracle Exadata), and enterprise reporting.
The developer is expected to design, code, test, modify, and debug computer software and applications utilizing Esri ArcGIS.
Responsibilities also include researching and analyzing program or systems problems, providing resolutions, and completing system documentation.
The developer will also translate business requirements/user stories into development activities in secure, commented, and maintainable code.
The developer will be part of the Enterprise GIS Team and will work with supporting IT team members, interact with management, architects, developers, and business units.
The role also includes developing customized web applications, web services, mobile, and enterprise solutions, GIS web services, GIS web editing/mapping applications, among other duties.
The candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, computer science, or a related field.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills, ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts, knowledge of IT security concepts and implementation patterns within Esri technology, among other skills.
Experience with Esri Roads and Highways, Dynamic segmentation and linear referencing systems/methods, transportation data models, and SafeSoftware Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) is highly desired.
