Job Description

As a Systems Administrator at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will be responsible for working on a critical knowledge sharing program for the customer with real world applications. The program that the team works on is high-visibility and enables collaboration across multiple partners as it is used in the day-to-day mission, throughout the customer and across the broader Intelligence Community (IC). Your work will enable data to be updated and shared in real-time and will help drive more informed and timely decisions in matters of national security.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs systems administration of server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices.
  • Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Configures and manages LINUX servers.
  • Isolates and resolves software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
  • Troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Integrates new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
  • Deploys, troubleshoots, and maintains software installed into containers in the OpenShift 3 or 4 environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

  • 9+ Years of Experience in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ Years of experience in addition to a Master’s Degree
  • 13+ Years of experience without a degree

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Experience configuring and managing LINUX operating systems.
  • Experience investigating and resolving technical issues.
  • Active Security+ certification or other applicable certifications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline and optimizing code.
  • Knowledge of Ruby and/or Python.
  • Knowledge of Docker or other container tools.

Telework/Remote Availability:

Hybrid work authorized (minimum 2-3 days/week onsite).

Work Location(s):

Annapolis Junction, MD; Reston, VA; or Washington, DC.

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$124,000 - $148,000
