Job Title: Commercial Lines Account Manager | Client Service Manager | CSR
Salary: $70k- $80k base salary
Location: San Jose, California | Hybrid (willing to consider fully remote for the right candidate)

Job Overview:
The Commercial Lines Account Manager serves a critical role in our organization, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This individual is the primary contact for our clients and is responsible for nurturing these relationships by understanding their needs, providing excellent service, and ensuring their coverage aligns with their business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage a book of commercial lines accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  2. Respond to client inquiries regarding policy and coverage promptly and professionally.
  3. Conduct policy reviews, recommend coverages, and prepare proposals for renewal business and/or additional lines of coverage.
  4. Work closely with producers to market new business and negotiate renewals, ensuring optimal coverage/cost ratios.
  5. Establish and maintain strong relationships with carrier representatives and underwriters.
  6. Understand and utilize agency management software and carrier online rating portals efficiently.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed client and policy information within the agency management system.
  8. Stay informed about changes in the insurance industry and engage in continuous professional development to enhance technical knowledge and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial lines account management or related role in the insurance industry.
  2. Property and Casualty license required.
  3. Designations: Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or equivalent.
  4. Proficiency in agency management software, preferably Applied (TAM or EPIC) or AMS360.
  5. Strong knowledge of various types of commercial insurance policies.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and carriers.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for producing professional reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
